Dickinson Volleyball-a-thon Charity - Max Menkes
Every year at Dickinson College the men’s lacrosse team puts on a “Volleyball-a-thon” to raise money for the American Red Cross. The Volleyball-a-thon is a 24-hour event that takes place outside on the sand volleyball court. Our team divides into many different groups and each group has a designated time shift. The goal is to have one team on the volleyball court at all times throughout the 24-hour event. We invite all groups on campus to sign up on a time sheet to take part in this event by playing against us at different times throughout the day and night. The week before this event starts, our coach assigns each grade a different task. These tasks include putting up flyers around campus, going to restaurants to ask for food donations, and meeting with groups on campus to secure time slots.
